DCM Systems by eFotoXpress latest automated storage system makes debut at two medical facilities.
DCM Systems by eFotoXpress, the leader in compression technology, today announces that it has successfully installed two systems of their latest state-of-the-art fully automated storage solutions for CT Scans. The DCM ROBOT was designed to solve storage problems existing in hospitals that operate CT Scans. The first system was installed at Cardio Vascular Institute, Los Altos, California. The second system was installed at the Makati Medical Hospital, Makati, Philippines. Both systems have now been operating for almost one month.
About DCM ROBOT, the perfect automated storage for CT Scan. Almost all CT Scans do not come with adequate storage. On a daily basis most operators will use manual method to backup images and studies. Such manual practice does not have proper record-keeping and very often these images and studies cannot be located. DCM ROBOT is completely automated. It takes every study from the CT scan and stores it in a 5TB server where the radiologist can retrieve studies and images at anytime and even from remote locations. On a regular basis the system will backup the images and studies by writing it on a DVD using our dual-core automated DVD writer. It will also print a CD for the patient's record.
Edward Tan, President and CEO of DCM Systems by eFotoXpress said, "The product was designed with the help of a well-renown cardiologist and perfected as a solution by the end-user. It is the most cost effective storage solution for CT Scans in the market. DCM ROBOT is HIPAA compliant and is approved by FDA."
